TDEC Awarded NOAA NMFS Contract
TDEC’s Government Services Division was awarded a contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide administrative support services to the Habitat Conservation Division (HCD), within NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northeast Region. NMFS is responsible for the protection and conservation of living marine resources habitat in support of NOAA’s stewardship goals for the environment. The HCD consults on coastal waterway and development activities that may disturb marine habitat and adversely affect NOAA trusted resources. In such cases, HCD makes conservation recommendations that protect productive fish habitat.
TDEC will provide administrative support services that help record staff consultation work and activities that contribute to a successful operation of a remote field office station. TDEC will enter information from consultation project case files; perform tasks to maintain daily operations of the field office and to support unanticipated, on-demand actions as required.
