Under a five-year subcontract, TDEC performs microfilm conversion for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration Services (CIS-formerly INS). TDEC converts more than 20M immigration records and captures more than 100M indexes, combining the index information with images. TDEC's overall index accuracy is 99.3%.

Since 1999, TDEC has been under a subcontract to provide the NCDC of with data capture services for various historical records. With more than 20M keystrokes per year, TDEC holds an overall accuracy rating of 99.9% well within the contractor's stringent Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL).
