Administrative Assistant

The Data Entry Company (TDEC), a nationally recognized Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) Organization, seeks an Administrative Assistant to support an agency in Washington, DC.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform project administration tasks relating to but not limited to: time keeping, payroll, staff hiring/termination, staff personnel actions such as benefit changes, employment status, personal information, etc., accounting functions for contract invoice.
  • Make travel arrangements for all employees traveling on company business.
  • Maintain current organization staffing charts by site.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitor contact with management.
  • Screen and answer correspondence for management, which requires independent judgement and discretion.
  • Perform specialized administrative tasks such as providing assistance with preparing contract reports.
  • Establish task priorities and maintains an effective work schedule.
  • Prepare administrative correspondence and reports as required.
  • Assist in financial analysis.
  • Assist or prepare management and Government reports.
  • Audit various documents to identify and report discrepancies.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer engagement skills.
  • The ability to compose correspondence on own initiative about administrative matters and general office policies for supervisor’s approval.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and prepare materials needed by the supervisor for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc., and informs supervisor on matters to be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to read publications, regulations, and directives and takes action or refers those that are important to the supervisor and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc., under general directions;
