TDEC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to make our content usable by the widest possible audience.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the international standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also apply relevant Section 508 principles where applicable, recognizing that many of our government clients depend on these standards.

What We’ve Done

• Semantic structure – Content built with semantic HTML and a clear heading hierarchy
• Alt text – Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
• Keyboard navigation – Navigation and interactive elements accessible via keyboard
• Color contrast – Sufficient contrast between text and background
• Readable text – Appropriate font sizes with scalable text
• Accessible forms – Clearly labeled form fields with accessible error messaging

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is a continuous commitment. We test new content and periodically review existing pages to identify and correct issues. We welcome feedback from users who encounter barriers.

Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on this website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include certain third-party embedded tools (forms, cookie consent) that may not meet all criteria. We are working with vendors to address these where possible.
